MCAS owns and operates all runways and taxiway. The airport itself is owned by the Department of the Navy. Our Patent ensures the public has free and unrestricted access to all runways and taxiways. This is a wonderful right for any community to have. We take our responsibilities in this regard very seriously. To enable us to work smoothly with MCAS Yuma the Airport has signed a Joint Use Agreement. The agreement is managed by a Joint Use Advisory Committee who has the authority to modify the agreement as necessary to ensure the two organizations remain effective "Aviation Partners."
