CAPTION: Review and Discussion on the latest draft of a Joint Use Agreement between the Yuma County Airport Authority and Marine Corps Air Station Yuma to develop a recommendation to the YCAA Board of Directors.

SUMMARY: The airport received version 2.4 of the proposed Joint Use Agreement (JUA) from Lt Col Bonzo on June 12, 2008. Airport staff reviewed MCAS' latest proposed changes and subsequently developed several proposed revisions which were augmented by airport counsel and later discussed with Lt Col Bonzo. These changes have been provided back to MCAS for further review as version 2.5.
At this time airport staff believes the document is ready for an initial discussion by the YCAA Master Planning Study with MCAS Ad-hoc Committee. Prior to the meeting the committee members will be provided with a hard copy of the current version of the document (version 2.6). Upon review the latest version (version 2.6) will be provided to our attorney and to the MCAS Operations Officer for final coordination.
The expectation is that the final draft will be presented to the entire YCAA Board on September 9, 2008.
